FOCUS AREA

Skill Acquisition

- When people are equipped with marketable skills, they can find employment and secure a sustained income for themselves and their families. This doesn't just mean money in the bank, it means meaningful purpose and the ability to support loved ones.

- We believe God desires this for all and this is the ultimate desire of GROW-  People stepping into their God given abilities that will allow them to create their own futures..

- During our Vocational Classes, individuals enroll in one of 4 areas of interest-- Digital Editing, Technical Tailoring, Computer/Phone Repair, or Auto Mechanics. Students go through a one-year program where they receive access to: technical training, business curriculum, leadership development, and personal mentors, all of which, will give the student what is needed to begin working once they graduate.

- With their new skill, people can go out and find a job, or create their own, as we focus on areas that are shown to be profitable here in Uganda.

Family Stability

- When families care for their own children, in their own homes, they keep ownership of their futures, both individually and generationally. God created familiy to be the communal piece each of us needs, and we are helping to restore and build this important part of the body up.

- Many times, children are sent to orphanages or institutions because of poverty, not because of a lack of love for the child. This is why we work hard to equip families for their futures, by teaching tangible, income-generating skills.

- We do provide opportunity to select families for food supplementation, school fee assistance, and support during medical emergencies while the heads of households are enrolled in VA classes, this allows families to remain together while they make new changes. By giving short term relief, families remain a unit as they gain a new financial footing.

Community Development

- We are all created to be apart of a community, and this community should be healthy, thriving, and supportive of the people it is made up of.

- Put simply, when communities are thriving, food insecurity decreases, the mortality rate from preventable disease drops, and the local economy flourishes.

- We work with local churches, chairmen, and district leaders to bring in infrastructure to the communities in which we work; focusing on discipleship programs, building materials, food supplementation, and the creation of supply chains with local traders allow communities to take ownership of their economies and quality of life.

- Buying locally, in Mpigi, builds relationships, solidifies markets, and encourages immediate economic growth.

Medical Support

- With a population

- We focus on delivering food and supplies through our weekly food distribution program, operating in 5 different refugee camps located in Northern Uganda. In addition to food, we are in the process of supplying families with seeds and farming equipment, allowing them to begin supplementing themselves.

- As refugees continue moving south, closer to Kampala and settling, we are providing mentors to help families navigate Ugandan life for their first few months in town.

- We also take this opportunity to share the Gospel with many who have never heard, and to encourage and build up their faith and belief in the God who sees and hears their needs.
