WHAT WE DO

When KULA commits to paying a child's school fees, that means we commit to helping not just with the tuition costs, but all also their books, uniforms, and classrooms supplies.

We recognize, when a child no longer has to worry about the different expenses that come about during a school year, they are free to study and learn without fear. With that weight gone, we have seen kids blossom into exceptional students, achieving fantastic marks.

When a child enters our sponsorship program, they commit to attending our Saturday Kid's Club. Kid's Club is where they get to be kids and hear the Word! Think, afterschool program meets youth group for elementary students!

 

Every Saturday, every kid in our sponsorship program comes together to play games, east food, get to know one another, and most importantly, to hear the Gospel and be discipled by our dedicated kids staff. Saturdays are so important to us because rather than just paying school fees and leaving, this is the way we can weekly speak the Hope of Christ to our kids. 

When Kula takes on a child into our sponsorship program, we commit to walking beside their family, as the family gets back onto their feet. This can look like food supplementation, church connection, medical access, and counseling.

We want wholeness for the WHOLE family; standing in the gap with a caregiver is key to launching these kid into success. Education is vital, and so is a healthy home. 

We know that technical skills lead to income, and income leads to family security, and this is why we support our older teens with videography training and discipleship.  The ability to gain the skills necessary to go out and land a job or start their own business is a game changer when it comes to breaking the cycle of poverty. 

 

Walking alongside these young adults to help them create a positive financial future for themselves and families is life giving, especially when its coupled with our weekly mentorship and discipleship programs.
